Heather Simpson, Realtor, Pagosa Source
Heather Simpson left Denver and moved to Pagosa Springs five years ago with her eleven-year-old daughter to be closer to family and start a new career. She is currently a full-time Real Estate Agent for The Pagosa Source. She enjoys building relationships with people through her work and feels very fortunate to live in this little slice of mountain heaven.
Originally from Minneapolis, Heather started her adult life in the motorcycle business after graduating from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. She still enjoys going fast on anything with an engine, as well as wake surfing, camping, hiking, exercising, listening to music, dancing, cooking, shooting pool, being social and having fun with her daughter.
Len Liszewski, General Contractor, Boss General Contracting
Learning to slow down and see more, Len Liszewski moved from the big city life and made Pagosa Springs his new home.
He enjoys being a General Contractor (Boss General Contracting) but more than anything he enjoys theater.
He studies World Religions in the early morning hours followed by meditation. He has always been and continues to be a generous man with his time and resources and will not hesitate to help those in need.
Tim Sullivan, Singer/Songwriter
Singer/Songwriter Tim Sullivan has been a featured performer with Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Tammy Wynette, and Glen Campbell. He has entertained at venues across the country from “The Crazy Horse” in Los Angeles to “Town Hall” on Broadway in New York City.
Tim and his band have been featured at the Olympic Equestrian Center in Sydney, Australia and also at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky. Tim and his family have performed in concert at “Carnegie Hall” four different times. The last performance at Carnegie Hall was featured on NBC’s “Today Show” and NBC’s Nightly News.
Derik Pepin, Director Pagosa Springs Golf Course
Derek Pepin relocated to Pagosa Springs in early 2019 to take over the position of Director of Golf Operations at Pagosa Springs Golf Club. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pepin worked in the golf business in New Mexico, Ohio, Georgia, and most recently for eleven years in Houston, Texas. Since moving to Pagosa Springs, Derek has had the pleasure of meeting many business owners and community members, he admires the town spirit that exists.
Derek has found the community of Pagosa Springs to be very welcoming, extremely civic-minded, and truly dedicated to supporting youth, arts, and charitable organizations, as well as the overall development of Pagosa Springs. By participating in this year’s Dancing With The Pagosa Stars, he hopes to help contribute to that positive environment and inspire others to support this fundraising effort which will ultimately will benefit our entire community.
Betsy Burnett, Owner, Two Chicks and a Hippie
Betsy Burnett is the leading lady of Two Chicks and a Hippie. She is the mother of seven adult children and the Nonni of nine wonderful grand children.
She is a lover of all things outdoors, travel, adventure, and spontaneity.
Not to mention dancing, of course.
Terri Frahm, Performer, Pagosa Springs Theater of the Arts, Community Activist
Terrie has always had a special place in her heart for the specific needs of children. She began working as a Summer Camp Counselor in high school, eventually going into the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric care where she worked for twenty years. She has seen the incredible impact that early childhood experiences can bring. As a Crisis Assessment Specialist and Admissions Director, Terri interviewed countless families, children, school counselors, therapists and law enforcement officials within the Juvenile Justice System. This experience taught her the importance of high quality, positive early child education.
Terrie, her husband and children have resided in many states, from Seattle to New York City. They spent several years in Switzerland where Terri saw first-hand how diverse educational systems produce very different adults. Terri believes Seeds of Learning is an extremely significant part of our Pagosa community that we must promote and preserve – for the bright future of all of our children.
